About Sarva Natural Artisan Soaps
Sarva is a Sanskrit term meaning “whole”, reflective of the philosophy that we should be whole in all ways… mind, body, and spirit. Further, the things we use–eat, touch, wear, put in AND on our bodies–should be whole, healthy, pure, and natural.
Sarva is a small, woman-owned company created by an artisan with a passion for soapmaking and holistic living. Every bar of Sarva soap is handcrafted in true artisanal fashion, a process which takes four weeks for each and every bar!
All Sarva soaps are entirely natural and cruelty-free, made with pure vegetable oils, herbs, essential oils, clays, and botanicals. Never do we use synthetic fragrances or pigments, nor will you find laboratory-created oxide-based pigments. Everything in Sarva soaps comes straight from nature.

Sarva soaps are as well known for their amazing artistic appearance as they are for their wonderfully delicate scent and luxurious lather, and have garnered much media and industry acclaim. Our soaps are handcrafted in very small batches, using special techniques and formulations, in order to create such a unique and exclusive product.
At Sarva, you'll find truly one-of-a-kind items. Limited editions. Always with a personal touch and connection to something much deeper.

In the late 1990s, I picked up a book on soapmaking at my local bookstore. I was taken by pages of fanciful creations, elegant yet somehow still rustic soaps like I'd never seen in any store; they were simply beautiful. I was hooked. And yet, I wanted to take it one step further.
So, I spent hours in my workshop. Hours turned into weeks, into months, into an addiction. I saw a way to combine my passion for gardening, my love for cooking, my reverence for nature and holistic living. Soapmaking became a meditative practice, creative outlet, and, many times, a metaphor for life’s larger lessons.
Soon, my friends and family found out what I was up to, and the demand grew from there! Over the ensuing years, Sarva evolved into the company you see today, selling online and locally, both retail and wholesale.
I see a fascinating art form in soapmaking… one that is practical yet also indulgent, each work of art gradually disappearing with use. I love creating soaps which are works of art for you to enjoy at all levels–body, mind, and spirit.
Please enjoy Sarva soaps, and remember to be kind to yourself and your planet!
